I had a lovely stroll downtown on Saturday morning. I snagged a couple shots of my favorite NB signs and then was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon a new booth at the farmer's market. You must visit Kortni Wright with Color Yellow Co. Look her up!

So, back in March we tried to sell these bad boys. They were Brent's in the bachelor pad. When we got married, he wanted to bring them over to the house. I told him I wasn't super fond of them, so he let Tony continue to use them for about a year. Then Tony got married and Maureen didn't care for them either, haha. So, they've been in our garage for over a year now just taking up space and collecting lots of dust. I practically tried to give them away for free in a garage sale over spring break and had no takers. Right when B said he'd take them to Goodwill, I promised him that I'd make them real cute one day and then try to sell them for more. Well that day finally arrived. I finally got to experience the amazing Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It is awesome. No stripping, sanding, or anything. I just painted those bad boys, waxed them, made a couple scruff marks on them for character, waxed them again and BAM, DONE! Well, it did take me about 6 hours to do both, but still not bad. I thought I'd drag them in the house and decorate them in hopes to get someone to reallllllly want them. Guess what?! That someone is ME!!!! Ah, now what am I going to do?!?! For now, I'll just sit and smile at them. They make me so happy ;)

meet Mac

Many of you know we rarely have time to watch TV; therefore, we do not have a television in the house nor do we get cable. We do occasionally stream a show off of the internet or pop a movie into the computer. We've shared our little macbook for the past two years and have been completely satisfied.

Well, times are changin'! No, we did not get a TV, and won't for a couple more years. Why would we when we have Mac? Yes, his name is Mac and he is my new best friend (best friend who doesn't have a heart, but I know he loves me back!) Becoming a photographer put a little damper in our computer share time. It also put a huge strain on the little guys memory and speed. I finally saved up enough fotobucks and purchased Mac!

We all love him. He helps me get my editing complete in under half the time, Brent gets to read the news on the little guy while I work, and Champer and PW get to curl up next to us when we make a pallet on the floor to watch a movie on the big screen!!!

We J people are movin' up in the world!! I took a few snaps of my new work area. It's another happy nook in our home. Pay close attention- The best thing about it is the fresh flowers I got on my morning walk to the NB Farmer's Market. I met the cutest young gal who is following her love of selling fresh picked beauties to happy campers like me! She's a NB native now living in Austin. She also has some amazing stationary and paper products. I can't wait to see her again. She's here every other Saturday. Check her out at Color Yellow!
